The Vibrant Ahmedabad Flower Show 2024, an annual event organized by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) since 2013, was inaugurated by the Gujarat Chief Minister, Bhupendra Patel, today. The show will run from December 30, 2023, to January 15, 2024, at the Sabarmati Riverfront in the city.
What to Expect at the Ahmedabad Flower Show 2024?
The show will display a variety of flowers, such as petunias, dianthuses, chrysanthemums, vincas, gazanias, begonias, anthuriums, asters, impatiens, marigolds, calendulas, coleuses, torenias, salvias, ornamental kales, succulents and cacti, orchids, poinsettias, gerbera daisies, dahlias, gerberas, liliums, amaryllises, lilies, and more.
This year’s sculptures will be bigger than the previous ones, featuring landmarks like the new parliament building, the Toran of Vadnagar, Vikram Lander (Chandrayaan-3), the Statue of Unity, the Sun Temple of Modhera, and symbols of women empowerment. Cartoon characters for children will also be featured. The Ahmedabad Flower Show 2024 will include a 400-meter-long flower structure made of 7 lakh saplings.
Numerous private nursery stalls will be present at the show, offering flowering plants for sale. Pesticides and manure stalls, along with gardening equipment, will be available for purchase. In addition to an established food court, various refreshment stalls will provide food and water.
Where to Purchase Tickets of Vibrant Ahmedabad Flower Show 2024, and At What Cost?
Monday to Friday, the entry fee for individuals aged 12 and above will be Rs. 50, while on weekends (Saturday and Sunday), a fee of Rs. 74 will be charged for those aged 12 and above. School groups will be granted free entry to the show.
Every year, millions of people attend the show, and this year, with an expected crowd, tickets are available both online and offline.
Tickets for Flower Show 2024 can be purchased at the nearest city civic centre, available at all city civic centres. Additionally, an online ticket booking system is in place.
Ten ticket windows are situated in the open field in front of the event centre, and another ten are under the Ellis Bridge. Additionally, five ticket windows are positioned towards the east end of the riverfront. However, those coming from the east will need to purchase a ticket to the Atal Bridge to gain entry to the show at the event centre.
