Viraj Modi, an Amdavadi boy, has made Gujarat proud by being the state’s only candidate to score a perfect 100 percentile in the Common Admission Test (CAT)-2023. This achievement places him among the elite group of 14 candidates across India who have attained this feat.
Viraj, an alumnus of Nirma Vidyavihar, is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) in Mumbai. Despite his high expectations, Viraj was pleasantly surprised to achieve a perfect score in CAT-2023.
Viraj’s interest in finance and business led him to pursue BBA, with finance as his major in the final year. He also completed the CFA level 1 exam. However, to gain a comprehensive understanding of management, he decided to take the CAT.
Balancing final year preparations and CAT preparation was a challenge, but Viraj believes it was all about planning. He devoted 3-4 hours daily for CAT preparation post coaching, took numerous mock tests, and ensured he gave equal importance to all subjects in the exam.
When asked about his success mantra, Viraj emphasized the importance of hard work, consistency, and practice. He chose to pursue an MBA in India through CAT due to the better return on investment compared to overseas universities. His achievement is a testament to his dedication and strategic approach to overcoming challenges. Viraj Modi’s journey is an inspiration for all aspiring CAT candidates.
