Monday has been a tragic day for the city of Ahmedabad with three deaths reported in two separate accidents. A mother and daughter died after being hit by a dumper near Hebatpur Samatwa Char Road, while a laborer sleeping on the footpath was killed by a sweeper machine near G.B.Shah College in Vasna.
In the first accident, a 40-year-old woman, Mallika Kiranbhai Goswami, and her seven-year-old daughter, Janvi Kiran Goswami, were killed after their two-wheeler was hit by a dumper. The accident occurred near Hebatpur Samatwa Char Road, and preliminary investigations suggest the dumper driver is responsible. The victims, residents of Krishna Row House Bhadaj, were on their way home when the tragedy struck.
Further investigation into this accident is ongoing by the traffic police.
In the second accident, a laborer sleeping on a sweeper machine on the footpath near G.B.Shah College in Vasa was tragically killed. The sweeper machine accidentally ran over him while cleaning the street, claiming his life.
These two accidents serve as a stark reminder of the dangers faced by pedestrians and two-wheeler riders on the roads of Ahmedabad. The authorities must take necessary steps to ensure the safety of citizens and prevent such tragic incidents from occurring again.
