Abhivyakti – The City Arts Project – an initiative of UNM Foundation of the Mehta family of Torrent Group will be organised from November 24 till December 10, 2023. After completing four successful editions in Ahmedabad, Abhivyakti is all set to begin power-packed performances by promising talents and noted names in the field of art, dance, music, theatre and visual arts in this 5th Edition.
It promises novel works of art and performances for the city audience to enjoy and experience absolutely free of cost. The 5th edition has 43 performers and presenters making their debut on the stage in line with the mission of Abhivyakti i.e. to provide a platform to artists with original and innovative ideas in different forms of art.
The event has already evoked great interest from artists and performers as more than 775 entries were received from across Gujarat and also across India.
This festival will bring forth the diverse voices and perspectives that converge in the vast tapestry of human stories. It will be hosting 87 artists with unique works for the fortnight across the four segments of Music, Dance, Theatre and Visual Arts, bringing a celebration of art like never before.

The art and performances for the 5th Edition are curated by five curators across four genres i.e. Bhargav Purohit in Music, Chirag Modi in Theatre, Dhara Dave Vyas in Visual Arts and Jaimil Joshi in Dance, while Kathanki Raval Sheth is the assistant curator for Dance. The 5th Edition is mentored by the celebrated names from the field of art – Daksha Sheth, Nabibaksh Mansoori, Rajat Dholakia and Saumya Joshi.
Since its first edition in 2018, this one-of-its-kind arts project has witnessed participation from more than 250 artists from Gujarat and on a platform provided by the UNM Foundation’s initiative. Over the past five years, Abhivykati has gained the scale and admiration with more than 1 lakh people already being witness to these stellar performances and art expositions.
Under its plans to take Abhivyakti outside the city of Ahmedabad the UNM Foundation has already organised a two-day events in Surat in February 2023 and Baroda in September, 2023.
