Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to meet supporters and well-wishers at his Ahmedabad residence as part of Gujarati New Year, or ‘Bestu Varas’, celebrations on Tuesday. The Lok Sabha MP from Gandhinagar will spend an hour-and-a-half in the morning engaging with attendees, according to a statement released by the Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday.
Simultaneously, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will partake in temple rituals and meet with various dignitaries in Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad, as stated in a release from the state government. The release outlined Patel’s schedule, beginning with a visit to the Panchdev temple in Gandhinagar at 7:00 am, followed by a stop at the Trimandir temple in Adalaj. The Chief Minister will extend New Year greetings to citizens at a community centre in the cabinet residence complex in Gandhinagar from 8:00 am to 8:45 am. Subsequently, he will proceed to Raj Bhavan to greet Governor Acharya Devvrat.
Further, Patel will engage with the public at the circuit house in Ahmedabad after offering prayers at the Bhadrakali Mata temple. His itinerary also includes a visit to the police officers’ mess to extend greetings to the officers and their families.
