Muskan Agrawal, an Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) – Una student, has made headlines after accepting a remarkable job offer from LinkedIn worth Rs 60 lakh annually.

Interestingly, Muskan’s peers at IIIT Una too received an offer with an astonishing starting salary of Rs 50 lakhs. Two trainees received offers between Rs 30 and 40 lakhs, and seven trainees between Rs 40 and 50 lakhs.

A native of Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, Muskan completed her BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering at IIIT Una, where she also set a record for the highest salary package received by a student from any institute.

India Today reported that her path to this remarkable feat started at TechGig Geek Goddess 2022, where she won the Top Woman Coder award and took home a Rs 1.5 lakh prize.

She won this competition that had 69,000 female coders. Finalists had to code continuously for four hours to turn in their winning programming solutions.

An annual coding competition for women, Geek Goddess was founded by TechGig, the largest technology community in India. It acts as a forum to bring together accomplished female engineers and top tech firms, showcasing their innovations and coding prowess on a national scale.

Muskan Agrawal has been perfecting her coding abilities for years. Two years ago, she worked with the Girlscript Foundation, contributing to several open-source projects.

Because of her commitment to learning, she was chosen as one of the top 40 women for LinkedIn’s mentorship programme, which offers one-on-one advice from LinkedIn experts.

Additionally, she worked as an intern at TechCurators, where she developed algorithm problems and data structures for coding websites like TestGorilla, HackerEarth, and Mettl.

She also reviewed problems created by other problem solvers. Muskan was named a Harvard WECode Scholar in 2022 for participating in WECode, the largest student-run tech conference in the world, organised by female undergraduate students at Harvard.

India Today further reported that Muskan’s journey to success involved diverse experiences, from serving as a Software Development Engineer Intern at MyFab11 and LinkedIn to taking on roles as a Media and Outreach Chapter Leader at CodeChef at IIIT Una.

Her growth in the field of coding also saw her transition from mentee to mentor in the Codess Cafe community.
