A foreign university has revealed its plans to establish a full-fledged campus in India. The ‘University of Wollongong’ is set to inaugurate its international campus at Savvy Pragya-2, located within GIFT City, which stands as India’s sole operational smart city.
The momentous occasion of unveiling the ‘University of Wollongong India Campus Vision’ took place at Savvy Group, graced by the presence of prominent figures including Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, the Hon’ble Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship; Mr. Jason Clare, the Hon’ble Minister of Education from the Government of Australia; Mr. Hasmukh Adhia, Chairman of GIFT; Mr. Tapan Ray, Managing Director and Group CEO of GIFT; and Mr. Philip Green OAM, Australian High Commissioner to India.
Upon its commencement within GIFT IFSC at SAVVY, the University of Wollongong, boasting a QS ranking of 162, will assume the position of the second-highest ranked university in India, trailing only IIT Bombay.
