Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra and AAP leader Raghav Chadha are set to tie the knot today in Udaipur and the schedule for their wedding day has been unveiled. The day’s events kick off with Parineeti Chopra’s choora ceremony at 10:00 AM, followed by Raghav Chadha’s sehrabandi at 01:00 PM. The baraat will make a unique entrance, traveling by boat from the iconic Lake Palace to the wedding venue. At 3:00 PM, the Jaimala ceremony will take place, followed by the pheras and vidai, all concluding by 6:30 PM. The day will culminate with a reception at 8:30 PM.
Yesterday, the couple enjoyed their haldi ceremony in the morning, with both Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha actively participating. During this ceremony, both ladkiwale and ladkewale delighted in performing Gidda, a traditional Punjabi folk dance. Additionally, a welcome lunch featuring Asian and Indian cuisine was arranged for the guests. Later in the evening, a 90’s-themed sangeet event took place, adding a touch of nostalgia to the festivities.
Apart from the wedding celebrations, a select group of guests is expected to arrive in Udaipur today. Notable figures such as designer Manish Malhotra, who is also Parineeti Chopra’s official wedding couturier, and filmmaker Karan Johar are among the anticipated arrivals. However, it has been reported that Akshay Kumar will not be able to attend the wedding due to his absence from the country. As for Parineeti Chopra’s cousin, superstar Priyanka Chopra, her presence at the wedding remains uncertain.
Notably, on Saturday evening, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann arrived in Udaipur to partake in the wedding festivities.
The pre-wedding celebrations for Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha commenced earlier in the week in New Delhi. These included an ardas at Raghav Chadha’s residence and a Sufi night attended by Madhu Chopra, mother of Priyanka Chopra, and cricketer Harbhajan Singh.
The engagement of Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha took place in May at Delhi’s Kapurthala House, in the presence of close family and friends.
