CM Gehlot Launches Campaign To Make Rajasthan No. 1

| Updated: August 23, 2023 16:50

In pursuance of his target of making Rajasthan the number one state in the country by 2030, state Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot launched ‘Rajasthan: Mission 2030’ campaign in Jaipur and interacted with over 25,000 youths from across the state through video conferencing. The mega initiative was launched to invite ideas and suggestions from about one crore people to make the state the number one in the country by 2030.

The government will also conduct physical face-to-face surveys of lakhs of people as part of the mission through Rajiv Gandhi Yuva Mitras and Mahatma Gandhi Seva Preraks. The government has constituted a team to reach out to people for their views and ideas through telephonic surveys and the interactive voice response system (IVRS). Some 1,000 subject experts were also present during the launch of the mission at the Birla Auditorium here.

The CM launched a website, mission2030.rajasthan.gov.in, through which the people can share their ideas and suggestions in the form of videos and articles on how to make Rajasthan a developed state in the country.

Gehlot said his government schemes were being replicated in other states.

“People in other states are asking why the poor can’t get an insurance of Rs 25 lakh? Why can’t the price of a gas cylinder be reduced to Rs 500 like in Rajasthan? Our state has achieved an unprecedented ranking of No. 2 in the country in terms of economic growth rate,” Gehlot said.

He said there was no shortage of money. “Despite Covid, we have increased the pace of development by four times in the last four-and-a-half-years. We have developed Rajasthan in every way and reduced inflation,” he said, adding that much more needed to be done.

“It is my dream that Rajasthan competes with developed states in the country and with foreigners coming here in search of jobs and business opportunities,” he said.

“Together, we should make a plan as to how to increase the per capita income by 10 times. Every person of the state must contribute to this campaign and share his point of view and ideas to make us the top state that people across the world should envy,” he said.

The government will also organise competitions in all schools and colleges across the state under the mission.

The Chief Minister Rajasthan Economic Reforms Advisory Council (CMRETEC) has also been constituted to hold extensive consultations with all the subject experts and stakeholders and submit a detailed report to the government before September 30.
