Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has announced the launch of a video contest, with the government presenting daily cash prizes worth up to Rs. 1 lakh to the winners.
The ‘Jan Samman Video Contest’ was inaugurated by Gehlot on Friday, aiming to encourage individuals to create short videos showcasing the government’s schemes. A government official stated that the primary objective of this contest is to raise awareness about the prominent initiatives offered by the Government of Rajasthan.
Each day, winners will receive cash prizes ranging from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 1 lakh. Individuals aged 13 years and above are eligible to participate in the contest.
A government official stated that the state will honour 103 individuals with the best video submissions each day. The first prize winner will receive Rs. 1 lakh, the second prize winner will be awarded Rs. 50,000, and the third prize winner will receive Rs. 25,000. Additionally, 100 participants will be granted an inspiration award of Rs. 1,000 per day.
To take part in the contest, participants must create a video lasting between 30 to 120 seconds, and share it on two social media platforms. Afterwards, they need to submit the video links on ‘jansamman.rajasthan.gov.in‘, as per officials. Multiple videos can be created highlighting any government scheme, excluding the 10 flagship schemes under the inflation relief camps.
In a video statement, CM Gehlot expressed, “Approximately 1.80 crore families have participated and registered in the inflation relief camps, and I have covered about 10,000 km during my journey. Witnessing the enthusiasm among the people, we have initiated this contest to facilitate a connection with the common man.”
He further stated, “The sole purpose of this contest is to reach out to the remaining 1.5 million families, apart from the 180,000 families already engaged in the initiatives.”
