Rajasthan Govt Launches Program To Collaborate With Social Media Influencers

| Updated: June 30, 2023 14:40

The Rajasthan government has launched a programme to collaborate with social media influencers who have a minimum of 10,000 followers on platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. These influencers can earn between Rs 10,000 and Rs 5 lakh by publishing government advertisements.

In accordance with a notification released on June 26, influencers have the potential to earn between Rs 10,000 and Rs 5 lakh by publishing government advertisements, with the amount dependent on their level of popularity and engagement.

To streamline the process, the government has categorised influencers into four groups and will assess their performance over a six-month period. Additionally, an oversight committee has been established to evaluate and allocate advertisements to influencers who have a significant following but may not fit into any specific category.

Earnings for influencers will be determined by the number of followers they have. Those with one million followers or subscribers can earn up to Rs 5 lakh, while individuals with 500,000 followers can earn a maximum of Rs 2 lakh. Similarly, influencers with 100,000 subscribers can expect earnings of up to Rs 50,000, and those with 10,000 followers can potentially earn up to Rs 10,000.

For influencers utilising Facebook and Instagram, the price range per reel or post is set between Rs 1,000 and Rs 10,000. Meanwhile, Twitter influencers who share a 10-second reel, a post, three photos, and three videos can earn between Rs 1,000 and Rs 10,000 based on their follower count.

It is important to note that influencers will only receive a payment if their posts achieve a minimum reach of 5 per cent. This means that if an influencer has 100 followers, the advertisement must reach at least five individuals to qualify for payment. Additionally, influencers are required to provide analytical data from their social media handles and must include appropriate advertisement tags when necessary.
