Chhattisgarh has announced the extension of the successful “Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana” to all 44 municipalities in the state, according to an official statement released on Tuesday. This initiative enables residents to obtain certificates and essential government documents from the comfort of their homes.
Currently operational in 14 municipal corporations, the scheme has already benefited 96,258 individuals since its launch on May 1, 2022, officials reported.
By eliminating the need to navigate various government offices and municipal corporations, this program simplifies the process of obtaining vital certificates and official documents for the people of Chhattisgarh.
Officials stated that 1,13,234 individuals have utilized the toll-free number 14545 to avail themselves of government document services. The Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana has particularly benefited senior citizens, persons with disabilities, laborers, farmers, women, and the general public by providing convenience and assistance.
Under the Mitan Yojana, a range of documents including birth certificates and ration cards are being issued. The program covers services such as domicile certificates, scheduled caste/tribe certificates, other backward class certificates, income certificates, land record copies, death certificates, marriage registration and certificates, birth certificates, document corrections, shop and establishment registration, Aadhaar card-related services, ration card-related services, and more.
To access the Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana, individuals can dial the toll-free number 14545. Once an appointment is booked through the call, a Mitan representative visits the applicant’s home on the scheduled date and time. The Mitan collects the necessary documents, verifies them using a tablet, and uploads them to the online portal. The verified documents are then forwarded to the respective departments for review and issuance of the requested certificates. Once the certificates are issued, they are delivered to the applicant’s doorstep by the Mitan representative, as per the official statement.
