A Vadodara resident, Sudhakar Pandey, has been arrested by the Cyber Crime Cell for posing as a senior IAS officer and calling up various companies to ask for jobs for his relatives and himself. Pandey, who also identified himself as Avinash Pandey, created his identity as ‘senior IAS officer’ on True Caller, and has admitted to having called up several companies.
During his interrogation, Pandey said that he was trying to land a well-paying job for himself. He even appeared for interviews at several companies, he said. His modus operandi included first placing a call at a company posing as an IAS officer and putting in a good work for a candidate, which would be himself or his relative.
His activities aroused suspicion and the Cyber Crime Cell officials booked him on Monday.
