Rakesh Patel, Director of the Shreeji Paramedical Institute in Dehgam, Gujarat, and his partner Maulik Rami are the subjects of a fraud complaint made by a woman to the Ahmedabad Crime Branch.
After paying Rs 3.50 lakh for admission into a college in Bangalore, Rakesh Patel allegedly took Rs 1.50 lakh and sent the papers to the woman, who intended to enrol in a nursing programme, in order to obtain a government job.
She was then given a fake certificate and a mark sheet. Rakesh made contact with Shilpa Panchal, a resident of Naroda, in 2016. For Rs 3.50 lakh, Rakesh obtained Shilpa’s admission to a nursing college in Bangalore, and for Rs 1.5 lakh, he sent the paper to her residence. Shilpa conducted the exam in this manner.
After the exam, Rakesh and his partner Maulik gave Shilpa the mark sheet and certificate issued by the college in Bangalore. Shilpa had this certificate verified after having doubts about it. Her inquiry revealed that these documents are fake.
Rakesh was asked to return the money, but he allegedly did not, leading Shilpa to file a complaint against both of them with the crime branch.
