India recorded 10,753 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of active infections to 53,720, according to data published on Saturday by the Union health ministry.
With 27 deaths reported in the last 24 hours, the death toll has increased to 5,31,091. Six deaths were reported in Delhi, followed by four in Maharashtra, three in Rajasthan, one in Chhattisgarh, one in Gujarat, one in Haryana, one in Himachal Pradesh, one in Jammu and Kashmir, one in Madhya Pradesh, one in Uttarakhand, and one in Uttar Pradesh.
According to data updated at 8 am, the total also includes six deaths reconciled by Kerala. The weekly positivity rate was recorded at 4.49, whereas, the daily positivity rate was pegged at 6.78. The overall number of Covid cases is 4.48 crore (4,48,08,022).
According to the ministry website, the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.69, and the active cases, currently make up 0.12% of all infections.
