The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is opposed by all “anti-national forces” that seek to obstruct the nation’s development, Arvind Kejriwal, the party’s national convenor, said in New Delhi on Tuesday.
Kejriwal called it a “miraculous and incredible” accomplishment for the AAP to become a national party in just 10 years, but he said that it also comes with a lot of responsibilities. To make India the most powerful nation in the world, he urged people to join the AAP.
“All anti-national forces that want to stop the progress of the country are against the AAP, but the almighty is with us,” the Delhi chief minister said in an address at the party headquarters in New Delhi.
He added that the three pillars of steadfast honesty, patriotism, and humanity form the foundation of the AAP’s ideology and that the party’s goal is to elevate India to the top spot in the world. “It is time to remember the AAP’s ideology. There are three pillars of the AAP’s ideology — kattar imandari (die-hard honesty), kattar patriotism and humanity,” Kejriwal said.
He praised everyone who had supported the AAP’s development and helped it become a recognised national party and paid respect to his jailed partymates Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain.
Kejriwal advised the AAP volunteers to be prepared to go to jail if necessary and advised those who are scared of it, should quit the party.
