The number of coronavirus infections in India rose to 5,676, while the number of active cases reached 37,093, according to figures provided on Tuesday by the Union Health Ministry.
21 additional deaths bring the total to 5,31,000 deaths. According to the statistics updated at 8 am, six deaths were reconciled by Kerala, three deaths each from Delhi, Punjab, and Rajasthan, two deaths in Karnataka, one death each from Gujarat, Haryana, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu, and three deaths from Rajasthan.
The total number of cases involving Covid is 4.47 crore (4,47,68,172). The national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.73%, and the active cases currently make up 0.08 per cent of all infections, said the ministry.
4,42,00,079 people have recovered from the disease, and the case fatality rate has been reported at 1.19 per cent.
220.66 crore doses of the Covid vaccine have reportedly been administered in the country so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign, said the ministry’s website.
