A Maryland man Nolan Steele, 78, of Sykesville said that he was about to leave a store when a voice inside his head told him to buy the scratch-off lottery ticket that earned him a 100,000 dollars prize.
He told Maryland Lottery officials that he was preparing to leave the High’s store in Carroll County after talking to a friend when a voice inside his head told him not to leave before purchasing a scratch-off ticket. He said that he didn’t know where the voice came from but was glad that he listened to it.
Steele selected a 10 dollar Willy Wonka Golden Ticket scratch-off from a lottery vending machine of a store and scratch the ticket off. He then used the scanner to check if he had won only to find out that he had to visit the lottery headquarters to collect the prize.
To this, he says that he knew something good was happening and usually one sees that when they have hit something big.
Steele visited lottery headquarters in Baltimore to collect his 100,000 dollar prize. He plans to use some amount to get his house painted and leave the rest for his 43-year-old wife to spend.
