Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has announced an unemployment allowance scheme of Rs 2.5 thousand per month will be launched for Chhattisgarh’s unemployed youth from April 1. This scheme will only benefit unemployed youth whose family income is less than Rs 2.5 lakh per annum.
According to official information, the state’s unemployment allowance scheme will go into effect on April 1, 2023. Under this scheme, the unemployed will receive Rs 2500 in their bank account every month. Unemployed people will also be given skill development training and assistance in finding work.
The applicant’s total annual income should be less than 2.50 lakh rupees if he or she is claiming unemployment benefits. A family consists of a husband and wife, dependent children under the age of 18, and dependent parents.
The applicant’s age should be between 18 and 35 years old on April 1 of the year they apply for the scheme. The applicant must have completed at least higher secondary school, or 12th grade, from a recognised board. Along with this, he must be registered in any Chhattisgarh district employment and self-employment guidance centre, and his employment registration must be at least two years old with a Higher Secondary or higher qualification as of the date of application.
This scheme will only be available to applicants who do not have any source of their own income and whose annual income from all sources does not exceed Rs.2.5 lakh. Income certificates issued by Tehsildars or higher revenue officers for family income must be obtained within one year of applying for unemployment benefits.
