Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today inaugurated an MRI machine in Kanker’s district hospital. He stated that the state government is determined to strengthen health facilities. Kanker District Hospital is the state’s first district hospital to install an MRI machine, which cost 6 crores and 49 lakhs
He stated that the facility for MRI tests in the district hospital would greatly benefit the people of the area. Patients will now begin to benefit from the services of specialists.
MRI scans can examine almost all parts of the body, including bones and joints, the brain and spinal cord, the heart and blood vessels, the breasts, and other internal organs such as the uterus, liver, and prostate gland, among others. Previously, patients in the area were referred elsewhere, but now MRI tests will be performed at District Hospital Kanker, saving patients time. Because of the rapid investigation, the true cause of the diseases will be discovered on time, and treatment will progress in the right direction.
It is also worth noting that the Kanker District Hospital’s dialysis unit and Hamar Lab are already operational. As of February 2023, 8 thousand and 521 patients had received free dialysis. Similarly, 3 lakh 93 thousand people have benefited from free medical tests provided by Hamar Lab.
