Maa, a microsite on memories of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with his mother Hiraba and celebrating their bond has been launched.
The mother of PM Modi, Heeraba Modi, passed away on December 30, 2022. Upon her passing, sympathies and condolences from all across the world flooded in.
According to officials, the microsite “Maa,” which is devoted to Heeraba, honours her memory and the unbreakable spirit of motherhood. The website beautifully expresses the unshakable relationship and love that a mother has for her son.
The teachings Heeraba gave to her children are conveyed through the microsite’s videos and chosen statements from her. The website also has a special blog written by PM Modi for his mother as she approaches her 100th year.
The blog is now available as an audio version with Hindi narration. The four sections of the website are—public domain, nation remembers, the world condoles and celebrating motherhood.
Pictures and films from the “life in public domain” area depict Heeraba’s modest and straightforward way of existence. Along with statements about his mother from numerous blogs and conversations with PM Modi, this section also includes public art honouring their relationship.
There are touching sympathy notes that were received in her memory that can be found under the “nation remembers” section. The “world condoles” section includes a compilation of tweets from a number of well-known world leaders, including Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, US President Joe Biden, and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, expressing their condolences to PM Modi on the demise of Heeraba.
A special area called “celebrating motherhood” is devoted to the creation and distribution of customised e-cards for mothers. Quotes from PM Modi directed at his mother can be included on cards bearing his signature. Users can personalise the cards with any template they like and a particular message.
