A Mumbai resident has filed a police complaint against Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s wife, Gauri Khan, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Gauri has been charged under section 409 (criminal breach of trust) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Jaswant Shah of Mumbai brought the complaint, who alleged that the company, of which Gauri Khan was the brand ambassador, failed to give possession of a flat despite charging Rs 86 lakh.
The complaint claims that the apartment in Lucknow’s Sushant Golf City’s Tulsiyani Golf View was handed to another person. In addition to Gauri, Anil Kumar Tulsiyani and Mahesh Tulsiyani, the director of Tulsiyani Construction and Development Company, were named in the complaint.
Shah claimed in his complaint that brand ambassador Gauri Khan had influenced his decision to purchase the apartment. This comes at a time when Shah Rukh Khan, popularly called as the ‘Badshah’ of Bollywood, is basking in the success of his recent blockbuster Pathaan.
The spy thriller Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, just surpassed the coveted Rs 1,000 crore milestone at the international box office. This brought Pathaan up to par with films like Aamir Khan’s Dangal (Rs 2,070.30 crore), Prabhas and Anushka Shetty’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs 1,788.06 crore), Prashanth Neel’s KGF: Chapter 2 (Rs 1,208 crore), and SS Rajamouli’s RRR (Rs 1,170 crore).
