The USA would re-release SS Rajamouli’s RRR in theatres, a few days before the 95th Academy Awards. Also, the film’s largest screening ever will take place on Thursday in Los Angeles, according to a tweet from the producers.
The producers of the RRR film shared the following information on Twitter: “Tomorrow, Los Angeles will witness the world’s largest RRR Movie screening yet The 1647-seat show is already sold out, and SS Rajamouli MM Keeravaani and Ram Charan will be participating in a Q and A session.”
At the moment, Ram Charan, SS Rajamouli, and MM Keeravani are in Los Angeles, while Jr NTR is in India filming a project. Another update is that the Academy-nominated song will be performed at this year’s Oscars by Naatu Naatu singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava. The movie RRR’s Naatu Naatu has also been nominated for an Oscar this year in the Best Original Song category.
Naatu Naatu singer Rahul Sipligunj, shared the Academy’s post and he wrote: “This is going to be unforgettable moment in my life.” RRR, a worldwide hit, was also released in Japan and the USA, where it quickly won over viewers. Also, the movie has dominated the foreign award season.
This year, RRR took home two Critics’ Choice Awards from the Los Angeles ceremony: Best Foreign Language Film and Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu. At this year’s 80th Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles, Naatu Naatu was also named Best Song.
Aside from that, the movie won Best International Film, Best Action FIlm, Best Stunts, and Best Original Song for the Oscar-nominated Naatu Naatu at the Hollywood Critics Association Awards in Los Angeles last week.
