Arnold Schwarzenegger is expected to make his debut on television in late May. The Terminator actor and former governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Netflix comedy ‘FUBAR’ will premiere on May 25, the streaming service announced.
A father and daughter (Schwarzenegger and Monica Barbaro from Top Gun: Maverick), who learn they have both been CIA spies, are now obliged to work together in the eight-episode action comedy series from writer and showrunner Nick Santora (Reacher).
The drama will air in May, just over two years after Netflix picked it up for a series. FUBAR will follow the father and daughter as they “realise their entire relationship has been a deception and they genuinely don’t know one another at all,” according to the show’s logline. The series explores typical family dynamics against a backdrop of international espionage, action, and humour.
I loved making the first written television production for Arnold Schwarzenegger because I grew up watching his movies, said Santora. To see the biggest actor in the world on the big screen, he continued, “I’d knock my dad up for a few bucks.”
Jay Baruchel, Fortune Feimster, Milan Carter, Travis Van Winkle, Gabriel Luna, Andy Buckley, Aparna Brielle, Barbara Eve Harris, and Fabiana Udenio are all featured in the cast of the show. The character of Arnold Schwarzenegger is tapped on the nut by Fortune Feimster in the show’s brief trailer (watch it below).
