Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel, inaugurated the 3rd World textile conference in Ahmedabad. He expressed a clear opinion that this textile industry, which is the oldest industry, has risen to the forefront of the world market through advanced technology.
Textile entrepreneurs from across the country and around the world are participating in this conference held in the presence of the Union Minister of State for Textiles Darshana Jardosh.
He further said that the series of Vibrant Summits launched by the Prime Minister has opened up global opportunities in Gujarat for industrialists and businessmen from all over the world. Not only this, but today Gujarat has also become the first choice of foreign investors.
CM Bhupendra Patel also stated that India has become the fifth-largest economic power in the world under the vision of the prime minister. And even in the corona period, the pace of self-reliance has not stopped.
Gujarat CM said that the government will be together to help the textile industries of Gujarat with their needs and added that the Government has allocated Rs. 1580 crore in this year’s Budget for the development of the textile industry in line with the Textile Policy.
Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister for Textiles Darshana Jardosh said that today the ecosystem that has been created in Gujarat to take the textile sector forward is proving to be beneficial for the textile market.
Talking about the handloom sector, she said that under the guidance of PM Narendra Modi, the handloom sector is continuously developing. The handloom sector under G20 has also got a new direction. Huge opportunities have arisen in this sector as well.
R.K. Vij, President, of Textile Association, Punit Lalbhai, Director, Arvind Limited, T.L. Patel, Conference Chairman and Vice President, The Textile Association India, Uday Gill, Executive Director, Venture Limited, Indora and a large number of textile industry leaders were present on the occasion.
