The Dingucha case, which has rocked the nation with its brutal nature, took a new turn as the voice spectrography test of Yogesh Patel, one of the accused, showed a positive match with the sound recordings confiscated by the Ahmedabad crime branch.
The Dingucha case involves the illegal immigration of a family of four that led to their death due to exposure on the US-Canada border in 2022. The investigation revealed the involvement of three individuals, Yogesh Patel, Bhavesh Patel, and Bobby Patel, in the immigration scam.
According to sources with the crime branch, the positive match between Yogesh Patel’s voice sample and the sound file collected by the police is a crucial piece of evidence in the case. The police had detained all three accused in connection with the illegal immigration case.
The probe into the human smuggling rackets in the state revealed that Yogesh Patel was previously convicted in a human smuggling case by a US court in 2019. After serving his sentence, he returned to India to resume his illegal business, said investigators.
Another individual, Bhavin Patel, has now been linked to the Dingucha case, adding another layer to the already complex case. The nation waits with bated breath for the outcome of the investigation and for justice to be served for the victims of the tragic Dingucha incident.
