In a tragic turn of events, a 38-year-old man from Gujarat lost his life on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway in Palghar district, Maharashtra on Monday morning.
According to reports, Arunkumar Parekh was travelling toward Mumbai when a tire failure caused him to lose control of his car, resulting in a collision with a truck travelling in the opposite direction.
The incident occurred around 9.30 am near Virar, where Parekh’s vehicle jumped the divider and struck the truck on the Khanivade bridge. The man was instantly killed on the spot. The police have taken the truck driver into custody and are investigating the case. The collision caused a traffic delay of one hour on the congested highway.
The news of Parekh’s sudden death has come as a shock to his family and friends. The authorities have expressed their condolences and are urging all drivers to exercise caution while driving on highways to prevent such accidents.
