When it comes to giving Netramani lenses to cataract patients, Gujarat leads the nation. The percentage of blind people in Gujarat is expected to drop to 0.25 percent by 2025. Rushikesh Patel, the Health Minister, made this statement as he approached the Police Parade Ground in the Shahibaug area of Ahmedabad district to salute the national flag.
According to Minister Patel, under health programmes like the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), 1986 government hospitals and 915 private hospitals now have Rs 5 lakh each. Twenty years ago, people were denied access to advanced medical care or pricey surgery. There is now the option for cashless medical care.
More than 1.68 crore people in the state are gaining benefits from this scheme. Additionally, Gujarat is now the first state in the nation to offer cataract patients free eye drops. By 2025, the state government will have eliminated all cases of blindness, the minister voiced confidence.
Work is being done while keeping the aim of 25 percent in mind. On this occasion, he also listed the canal network accomplishments and the connection of water to every home made possible by the Sardar Sarovar Project. On Republic Day, 11 Platoon also took part in the parade and marched past. On this occasion, freedom fighters were also honoured.
The G-20 summit will provide additional momentum for Gujarat’s development. The Minister expressed hope that the deliberations at the G20 Shikhar Sammelan in Gujarat would further the industrial growth of that state. Gujarat is consistently making progress to new heights.
He claimed that Gujarat is regarded as a developed state in the nation’s industrial sector. 17.44% of the nation’s industrial production is produced in Gujarat. Minister Patel stated that he works with the intention of assisting the underprivileged and the disadvantaged in developing themselves.
1.70 crore people in need have received assistance thanks to the 13-phased Garib Kalyan Melas.
