The ministry of external affairs condemned the BBC documentary on the 2002 Gujarat riots on Thursday, saying, “We believe it is a propaganda piece designed to push a particular discredited narrative.”
MEA said that “The bias, lack of objectivity and continuing colonial mindset are blatantly visible: MEA on BBC documentary on 2002 Gujarat riots. This documentary is a reflection on the agency and individuals that are peddling this narrative again: MEA on BBC documentary on 2002 Gujarat riots.”
The Ministry said “It makes us wonder about the purpose of this exercise and the agenda behind it.”
