Beginning on March 26, there will be twelve weekly flights to four destinations, the airline has announced. The airline would provide three weekly flights to Goa in addition to three weekly flights to Kochi, the entry point to Kerala, another well-liked vacation spot for British tourists.
There will also be three flights each week to Ahmedabad in Gujarat and three to Amritsar in Punjab. All flights will be flown by Boeing 787-8s with 256 seat capacity.
Air India is now serving Gatwick for the first time. Following a reorganisation of the carrier’s ownership, the direction has changed. At the beginning of 2022, Air India and Air India Express were returned to the Tata group after 69 years as a government-owned company.
The airline will undergo a five-year transition under the new administration. Air India said of the new services, “This is part of the airline’s ongoing endeavour to spread its wings on the international aviation map, hence increasing its market share on international routes.”

In addition to the new Gatwick services, Air India, a Star Alliance member, will increase Delhi’s frequency from 14 to 17 times per week and Mumbai’s frequency from 12 to 14 times per week.
