Officials said on Saturday that the accused of urinating on a female co-passenger on an Air India flight has been detained by the Delhi Police in Bengaluru.
“Accused Shankar Mishra in IGIA case has been arrested from Bengaluru by a Delhi Police team. He has been brought to Delhi and further investigation into the case is in progress,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Airport) Ravi Kumar Singh said.
On November 26 of last year, Mishra is accused of peeing on a female co-passenger while inebriated in the business class of an Air India trip from New York to Delhi.
On January 4, Delhi Police filed an FIR against Mishra based on a complaint the woman made to Air India.
