Tuesday marks the start of President Droupadi Murmu’s two-day trip to Rajasthan, where she will meet with tribal community members and launch a constitution park at Raj Bhavan.
According to a statement released by the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday, the president will officially open Samvidhan Udyan on Tuesday at Raj Bhavan in Jaipur. She will also practically inaugurate Rajasthan’s solar energy zones’ transmission infrastructure and lay the cornerstone for the 1,000 MW Bikaner solar power plant.
Murmu will then meet with people from the communities of Rajasthan’s “Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups” at Raj Bhavan in Jaipur. “On the same evening, at Mount Abu, the president will grace the launch of a national campaign on ‘RISE-Rising India through Spiritual Empowerment’, organised by Brahma Kumaris,” the statement said.
According to the statement, she would also virtually formally open the Brahma Kumaris Silence Retreat Center in Secunderabad, Telangana, and lay the cornerstone for the organization’s auditorium and spiritual art gallery in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The 18th national jamboree of the Bharat Scouts and Guides will be inaugurated on January 4 at Pali, Rajasthan.
The President will meet with the indigenous groups from Kathodi and Sahariya, a Raj Bhavan spokesperson has said. The park will be officially opened by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, the Assembly Speaker CP Joshi, and Urban Development and Housing Minister, Shanti Dhariwal.
Rajasthan has been the first state in the nation where a constitution park has been set up at the Raj Bhavan to raise constitutional awareness among the general public, thanks to the idea of Governor Kalraj Mishra. According to him, the park, which the Jaipur Development Authority constructed for an estimated cost of Rs 9 crore, uses statues and other artwork to illustrate the Constitution’s development from conception to implementation.
