Developers across Ahmedabad are anxiously waiting for a slew of approvals for their projects as the online development permission system (ODPS) run by Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) is not operational for the last month and a half. All approvals related to realty projects are pending.
At least 250 projects are waiting for relevant permissions. This has led to a conflict between buyers and developers in some projects as builders are not able to give possession despite the completion of projects, in the absence of BU permission.
The ODPS is running smoothly for other development authorities but there is some technical issue for AUDA. The city has registered an increase in demand for housing and commercial projects after the Covid peak and a number of developers have planned ambitious projects. But the delay in the approval process has delayed launches.
