Four terrorists entered the main gate of ONGC Hazira CISF unit in Surat with an unknown vehicle with the intention of forcibly committing a major crime. Meanwhile, the Quick Response Team retaliated and killed one terrorist. However, there was no need to panic, all this was part of the mock drill.
When two vehicle terrorists took shelter near the panel building. A mock drill was conducted by CISF Unit-Hazira at ONGC Hazira to counter the terrorist incident. In this mock drill of the terrorist attack, the message of the attack was sent to the plant unit commander, police control room and fire control room.
A command and control centre was set up near the CISF office. As part of the rescue operation, two attacking teams first cordoned off the entire area and killed two terrorists. A total of four terrorists were killed in the encounter and 3 SMGs, including 4 grenades and 1 pistol, were recovered during the search.
