On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged citizens to exercise caution and take preventative measures against COVID-19, noting that the virus is spreading over numerous nations.
In his final “Mann ki Baat” speech of the year, Modi noted that many people are on vacation or would be around Christmas and New Year’s. He advised them to abide by measures such as wearing masks and washing their hands to prevent the virus from negatively affecting their enjoyment.
With the number of cases increasing and the pandemic spreading, particularly in China where the zero-Covid policy was lifted, the central government has increased its anti-virus efforts. Additionally, Modi has presided over meetings and his administration has written to the states urging them to implement sufficient precautionary measures against any surge.
The prime minister claimed that 2022, the current year, had inspired India in a variety of ways. With its astonishing vaccination doses of more than 220 crores and the country becoming the fifth largest global economy, he added, India carved out a special place for itself in the globe.
He continued by mentioning the nation’s sports accomplishments and its achievement of the “magical” export figure of $400 billion.
