The Odhav police have detained two natives of Naroda named Deepak Thakore (22) and Dashrath Thakore (23) for stealing milk crates supplied in the area.
After receiving a significant number of complaints, the police acted in order to apprehend the culprits. The police stated that the duo used to threaten the dealer by showing knives. Post this, police commenced their investigation by scrutinizing the CCTVs and other evidence.
The police received a tip-off about their specified location and put that under surveillance. The police then captured the duo from Anjana Chowk in Odhav. Police confiscated a no-number plate motorcycle and a knife from them.
Deepak and Dashrath confessed to their crimes during the interrogation. To sum up, they have stolen 240 crates of milk in 43 incidents. In some instances, they have even stolen paneer. They have been alleged in seven cases comprising three in Odhav, and one each in Nikol, Krishnagar, Ramol and Naroda.
These robberies were committed in the last three months in the eastern parts of the city.
