For the upcoming part of the film Mission Impossible, Tom Cruise is doing everything unimaginable. With the seventh instalment due out early next year, the Hollywood star gave fans a sneak peek at one of the action scenes.
Paramount Pictures posted a video on Monday where Tom Cruise and his team talk about preparing for this stunt for months. In the scene, the action star jumps from the cliff while driving a motorcycle. Cruise says, ‘This is far and away the most dangerous thing we’ve ever attempted’ and claims that stunts performed in films are put up for the audience.
Tom’s team explained how they practised every detail of the stunt and would even wind up after performing 30 jumps in a single day. They had around 500 skydivers and over 13,000 motocross jumps. They used technology to construct a platform to ensure that the jump proceeds as planned and is captured by the cameras. The coach even warns that if the stunt goes wrong, it could lead to serious injury or even death.
The cast applauds for the actor as he pulls off the life-threatening feat successfully at the end. He extends his gratitude towards the staff for a job well done. Tom flew off the motorbike six times in a day, according to a crew member, making the biggest stunt in the cinema history.
In addition to Tom Cruise, other actors reprising their roles in Mission: Impossible—Dead Reckoning Part One includes Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Henry Czerny, Vanessa Kirby, and Frederick Schmidt. Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, Cary Elwes, Rob Delaney, Indira Varma, Shea Whigham, Mark Gatiss, Esai Morales, and Charles Parnell will all appear in the upcoming movie.
The movie is set to hit cinemas worldwide on July 14, 2023.
