Recently, CCL (Centre for Creative Learning) at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar, has started a fun-filled programme called ‘D20’ in which 20 activities are there from dussehra to diwali . I along with my school have attempted this programme and this is my review about it.
Before hearing about my review, let us learn a little bit about CCL. CCL or Centre for Creative Learning has been started in the year 2017 in the month of April. Their main motto is to enhance and enlighten children to learn things apart from their books and explore and dive into the world of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering,Maths).
Personally for me,it was a splendid and innovative experience. I was full of enthusiasm when we made the first project called ‘Bindi Art’. A thought came to my mind that how these bindi’s which are used for decorative purposes are now turned into a beautiful masterpiece of Goddess Durga. Later on I decided to make a project on my own called ‘Stellated Truncated Hexahedron’. It was a part of the whole series and was a paper made lamp which can be used for decorative purposes on the occasion of diwali.
For this activity, I only needed the template (the outline of cutting), scissors and glue. It took about 40-50 minutes to assemble the whole templete and a beautiful masterpiece was created . Apart from the above two activities, we also made these activities too :-
● MATHEMATICAL RANGOLI
● DIWALI TORAN
● SMALL RHOMBIHEXAHEDRON LAMP
● STRING ART
● DEEPAK LOTUS LAMP
● CUBOCTAHEDRON LAMP
● STEREOGRAPHIC PROJECTION
● DIYA STAND WITH STRING
● CALENDAR LAMP-DODECAHEDRON
● GREAT CIRCLE LAMP
● DITRIGONAL ICOSIDODECAHEDRON LAMP
● GEODESIC BALL
● MAGICAL RANGOLI
● HAPPY DIWALI PUZZLE
To sum it up, it was a fun as well as innovative programme which I enjoyed a lot. For all the activities videos click on this link (https://bit.ly/d20playlist)
