Defence Minister Rajnath Singh heaped praises on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Gandhinagar on Monday. He said that Modi was the only leader who understood the needs and the aspirations of the common man, something that only Mahatma Gandhi did before him.
Rajnath was addressing the gathering at the launch of a book on Modi ahead of the five-day DEFEXPO22 that began in Gandhinagar on Monday. He said the book decoded the vision of Modi.
The book is titled ‘Modi@20: Dreams Meet Delivery’, which is a compilation of chapters authored by eminent intellectuals and domain experts who have explored the fundamental transformation of Gujarat and India over the last twenty years due to Modi’s unique model of governance.
The event was attended by Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting Minister M Murugan and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. Murugan said that the journey “of good governance and welfare of the poor here in Gujarat with Modi.” He said that Modi not only fulfilled but even went beyond his scheme of “sabka saath, sabka vikas” where every section of the society, including the Dalits and the tribals, benefitted.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that it was a matter of pride that a child from an ordinary family of Gujarat has reached such heights and is willing “to lay down his life for the country”.
