The party it was! An IPS officer is rumored to have organized a surprise party with his crony’s help and to have collected more than 50 tolas of gold. Not a single government employee was invited to the party. It has become a topic of discussion that the officer, who is known as Tik Tok star, has received gold and other expensive gifts from all the contractors through his handyman Pandey.
The government has conducted a secret investigation in this regard. It can be said to be a case of indirect corruption. It remains to be seen if the government will take any action in his issue.
The senior IPS officer from Gujarat who is famous as a Tik Tok star planned to hold their own belated surprise birthday party. This party was organized by his crony known as Yo-Yo Pandey. He is known to be close to the IPS officer concerned. He takes care of his affairs, it is rumoured. Pandey called all the contractors coming under the scope of this IPS and instructed them to bring in gifts.
It is said that the officer insisted on expensive gifts of gold. The benefit of the gift of gold lies in its small package. The officer is said to have told Pande to prove his efficiency by gathering more gold. The officer pretended to not know about the party. Pandey told the contractors to bring in the requisite gift, i.e 2 tolas of gold. This is a pure case of misuse of power and indirect bribery. The invitees were told to come with some expensive gifts also along with gold.
It is being discussed at police stations that the IPS officer has collected more than 50 tolas of gold at this party by inviting a large number of traders and contractors. Some invitees who brought only gold were intercepted by Pandey. However, the gift was recovered from them later.
