With their day-to-day active engagements in carrying out the vital affairs across the state, the Bharatiya Janata Party is in no mood to take the Gujarat Assembly Elections’22 lightly.
Reportedly, the ruling party BJP has its strongholds in urban areas of Gujarat with 182 assembly seats across the state, while its counterpart, ‘the Congress’ has maintained its hold even stronger in rural areas of the state.
The ‘Bharatiya Kisan Sangh Satyagraha’ based in the cantonment area of Gandhinagar has been carrying out a 15-day long protest, calling for the same rate of energy charges across the state.
Meanwhile, the ruling party BJP with the help of its ‘Namo Kisan Panchayat’ initiative will directly connect with its voters based in rural and remote areas of Gujarat.
In 143 rural assembly constituencies of the state, the BJP’s ‘Kisan Morcha’ on 182 e-bikes will not only disperse information regarding the schemes run by the central and state governments, but would likely to address other familiar issues as well.
Besides, a direct communication will be held with the beneficiaries of various programmes including the beneficiaries of ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Nidhi’ scheme.
BJP’s national president JP Nadda will kick off the ‘e-Bike event’ on September 20.
The BJP party workers associated with ‘Kisan Morcha’ will visit nearly 14,200 villages across the state.
With the installation of LED in the e-bikes, the farmers and villagers will be shown a short telefilm on ‘how the BJP-run government has changed the landscape of villages and farmers’.
Nearly two e-bikes will be sent to large assembly constituencies of the state. The e-bike will cross the paths across most of the villages of the state.
A ‘night stay’ arrangement has also been organised in the wake of ‘Chaupal’, which is mostly conducted during the night hours. The party workers of ‘Kisan Morcha’ and the office bearers have specially been trained for this event.
Hitesh Patel, the state convener of the ruling party, said, “We will go to 14,200 villages, during which, we will try to directly connect more than 1.5 crore villagers.”
The 39 urban assembly constituencies have been kept aside. The BJP had won 35 of 39 assembly seats in 2017. As the total number of BJP MLAs was 99, so, out of 143 BJP had scored just 64 seats in the elections, while Congress had scored 74; NCP 1; BTP 2; and Independent MLA scored 1.
