Bollywood actors Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal are set to tie the knot in the first week of October this year.
After covering up their work commitments by September 24, they will start focusing on wedding preparations in the national capital and Mumbai in the last week of September and in the first week of October this year.
Delayed due to pandemic, the actors are set to marry after a gap of two-and-half years when the official announcement of their wedding took place in 2020.
The 2015 ‘Masaan’ fame actress will soon fly down to Delhi, reportedly on September 27 and Fazal will join her shortly after.
According to the sources, the pre-wedding festivities of the Bollywood couple will begin at the Delhi Gymkhana on September 30 and will continue for next three days.
The ‘Mehendi’ and ‘Sangeet’ will take place on October 1.
Ali Fazal and Richa will also organise a wedding party for their extended family and friends on October 2. After Delhi celebrations, the duo will move to Mumbai for the remaining fetes.
The couple will tie the knot in Mumbai in an intimate ceremony on October 6 at a rented bungalow, followed by a grand reception on October 7 at the South Mumbai hotel for their Bollywood friends.
Richa Chadha is currently in Mumbai shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Heeramandi’ and Ali Fazal has been shuffling between Mumbai and Lucknow for Bollywood flick ‘Mirzapur 3’.
Richa was originally meant to wrap up shooting this week, but her song shoot for ‘Heeramandi’ was delayed and she will wrap up late next week.
After disclosing their relationship in the early months of pandemic-hit 2020, Richa and Ali Fazal had shared that the two were supposed to get married in April that year.
Earlier in 2020, Richa had stated- “2020 has played spoilsport with us in many ways. The pandemic is far from done with us and the vaccine is nowhere in sight. It is only pragmatic to push our celebration to the coming year, in the interest of everyone who would attend.”
The actress made her debut in 2008 with romcom ‘Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!’ directed by Dibakar Banerjee. The film received critical acclaim upon release and had earned several awards, including the ‘National Film Award.’
Later in 2010, she appeared in Bollywood’s satirical comedy ‘Benny and Babloo’ where she played the role of ‘Fedora.’ The film was warmly received by the critics.
In the year 2012, she got her breakthrough role as ‘Nagma Khatoon’ in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 1’ directed by Anurag Kashyap. Chadha received a Filmfare Award nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category and won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress.
