Proud Vaishnav and India’s prominent Industrialist, Mukesh Ambani visited the Shrinathji temple at Nathdwara, near Udaipur(Rajasthan). The 350 years old Shrinathji temple is one of the holiest shrines in Vaishanavite Hinduism. He was accompanied by Radhika Merchant, the fiance of his younger son Anant Ambani.
Nathdwara is a city in the Rajasthan state of western India. It is located in the Aravalli hills, on the banks of the Banas River in Rajsamand District, and 48km north of Udaipur. This holy town is famous for its temple of Krishna which houses the Shrinathji, a 12th-century “infant” incarnation idol (murti) of Krishna
The Reliance Industries Ltd CMD took the blessings of Vishal Bawashri. Vishal Bawashri, the son of Goswami Tilkayat Shri Rakeshji Maharaj, a direct descendant of Shri Vallabhacharya who founded the Krishna-centered PushtiMarg sect of Vaishnavism.
The Ambanis are open about their faith since the time the patriarch Dhirubhai was at the helm. Dhirubhai and Kokilaben Ambani were regular visitors to the temple. Kokilaben and Nita Ambani, the wife of Mukesh Ambani are fervent Krishna devotees and frequent visitors to the temple town Nathdwara. Kokilaben is a trustee of the temple trust too.
The Isha Ambani wedding which was a mega affair with global celebrities in attendance commenced with Shrinathji’s maha aarti. One of the big highlights at the wedding was Nita Ambani, a trained dancer’s performance on holy Madhurashtakam, with the likes of Hillary Clinton in the audience.
Mukesh Ambani has recently named his son Akash Ambani the head of Reliance Jio. If the recent auctions are any indication, the company is coming in a big way with 5G. Isha, the twin sister of Akash is married into the Piramal family. She will be heading the Reliance retail business. The youngest of Ambani children Anant is set to look after Reliance Green energy enterprises.
The Ambanis maintain close relations as devotees with the Tilakayat Maharaj and his son Vishal Bawashri. The younger Ambanis too are overtly religious despite being one of the richest Indian families with homes around the world, the latest being an 800-crore villa in Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah.
