The present director of the academy K. Srinivasan IAS, Gujarat cadre officer, when got a whiff of the controversy, and immediately roped in Sanjay Joshi, an additional collector level officer of the ‘GAS’ cadre working at the academy for an inquiry. After his detailed investigation and report, Sureshbahi’s name was scrapped.
With the timely intervention of the LBSNAA director, the academy is spared major embarrassment. Sureshbhai could have lectured more than 500 civil servants in Gram Panchayat administration and rural development for their foundation course. Newly appointed IAS officers are trained under the foundation course at an academy in Mussoorie after passing the UPSC Civil Services Examination.
