Ambassador of Japan to India, Satoshi Suzuki visited Ahmedabad on August 28 to celebrate 40 years of Suzuki in India. He visited Ahmedabad Management Association and said, “Today my dream to experience Zen-Kaizen at AMA has come true”. He unveiled a photo collage of the previous Japanese festivals and said that “the bond between India and Japan is something unique and I am very happy to see the friendship, progress and development between India and Japan, Hyogo and Gujarat and Ahmedabad and Kobe.” He promised his support as a lifelong patron. He interacted with Mukesh Patel, President of Indo-Japan Friendship Association, Gujarat (IJFA).
Deevyesh Radia, President, Ahmedabad Management Association and Yatindra Sharma, Chairman, Indo-Japan Business Council, IJFA and team members also graced the event. Suzuki expressed his deep appreciation for their pioneering initiatives in strengthening bilateral relations with Japan, Hyogo & Kobe and complimented them for their unique contribution to the Japanese Zen Garden and Kaizen Academy, Japan Information and Study Centre.
Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has completed 40 years as a joint venture with Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC) of Japan, which was signed between the Government of India and Japanese marque in 1982. It also revealed that it became a subsidiary of SMC in 2002. Satoshi Suzuki also celebrated 40 years of Suzuki in India.
