Vrushabha is a production of AVS Studios in collaboration with Shyam Sunder’s First Step Films. The movie, which will be produced by Abhishek Vyas, Praveer Singh, and Shyam Sunder and directed by Nanda Kishore, is slated to begin production in May 2023. It is anticipated to debut in more than 3000 theatres around the world in early 2024.
Talking about the high-energy drama, Mohanlal said, “The moment I heard the script, I was hooked onto the idea of Vrushabha. It’s a riveting father-son high-energy drama which spans across lifetimes. I am impressed with Nanda Kishore’s vision and delighted to partner with AVS Studios on this first film together.”
Abhishek Vyas, a former Netflix executive, founded AVS Studios intending to leverage the enormous rise in Indian content consumption and upend the market with its ground-breaking storytelling supported by first-rate larger-than-life production qualities and scale.
Vyas said, “In an industry which is focused on drawing up film projects on excel sheets, AVS Studios is here primarily to back the best of scripts and writing talent. I am excited to work with the only megastar Mohanlal, an actor whom I have always admired! We have a solid script in place and are confident that we’ll give the audience a truly entertaining experience with Vrushabha”
AVS Studios has partnered with some of the top directors and actors in the nation to produce six films in Phase 1 that span languages and genres. The films will have a significant theatrical release before being exploited on digital platforms and television. Leading streaming services and satellite television broadcasters have already expressed a great deal of interest in the movies; announcements on these partnerships will be made soon.
Nanda Kishore said, “At the heart of every good film are characters which connect with you and stay with you for years after ever you have seen the film. I have been writing VRUSHABHA for the last 5 years. It’s a dream come true to work with Mohanlal Sir and I am excited to take the movie to the floors”
The first movie to come from the AVS Studios stable is “Vrushabha,” a monumental work that spans several lifetimes. The fight between Love and Revenge, the two emotions that rule the universe, is at the centre of this very emotional movie. The multilingual movie, which was shot in Malayalam and Telugu, would also have Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi dubs. High-octane father-son drama is what the movie is about, and megastar Mohanlal plays the Father in it. Over the next months, it will be revealed who will play the son, who is likely to be a prominent Telugu actor.
