It was only 2 days ago that a decapitated and disjointed torso was found in Sorinagar neighbourhood of Vasna, Gujarat. Not much later, now, human legs packed in a garbage bag were found in BMM Society near Parimal Garden on Friday.
Police have identified a two-wheeler rider who was seen dumping the bag and also disposing off the torso in Sorainagar.
The legs were found by a sanitation worker who then informed the cops. Residents around the disposal said that the foul smell coming from the bag was intolerable.
A police officer shared how the sanitation worker noticed the bag and instantly informed the residents, who rang the police. Soon, a team of Ellisbridge police reached the location and the limbs were sent to Civil Hospital for DNA profiling.
The officer said that through the city crime branch’s investigation, they found CCTV footage of the suspect disposing off the bag. And the same person was seen near Sorainagar, Vasna, Gujarat where the torso was found.
The police officer said they are certain that the legs and torso belong to the same body. They reckon that the body might have been chopped off using a woodcutting machine. Several teams of the city police are also looking for the accused in different areas of the city.
On Wednesday a decapitated torso of a man between 30-40 years of age was found at a dumping ground in Sorainagar. The victim could not be identified as his head and limbs were chopped off. Police have requested citizens to provide any information, if any, about the victim.
