Virat Kohli is going through a difficult time in international cricket right now. The former Indian captain, known as “the run machine”, has not scored a century in more than three years. It’s not that there haven’t been any runs. They have, but in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. To make matters worse, even these scores have dwindled, leaving Kohli fighting for a spot in the T20 squad.
The England tour is also not going as per plans. He failed the fifth Test, two T20s, and the second ODI. The critics are in his ear, slamming him after each poor performance, and some even want him to be dropped from the team. At the same time, Kohli has the support of his team’s management, including captain Rohit Sharma, who believes Kohli is still an important cog in India’s wheel.
On Saturday, a day before the third and final ODI between India and England, Kohli posted a cryptic message on his social media accounts. He had his picture taken with an inspirational quote and posted it on social media.
The quote read, “What if I fall? Oh, but darling, what if you fly?”
The quote is essentially meant to encourage someone who is struggling or doubting themselves about a particular task.
