With an increase of over 60 cases in daily cases of Covid-19, Gujarat on Tuesday registered a total of 577 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours against 511 cases on Monday.
The total cases in Gujarat reached 12,39,009 with the addition of new cases and the recovery of as many as 633 patients of Covid-19 on Tuesday. Notably, the state also reported two deaths due to the infection and thus, the active caseload on the state has reached to 4,156 cases.
In a no change, Ahmedabad again reported a highest of 252 fresh Covid-19 cases in the state on Tuesday. The city is followed by Surat, where 79 cases were reported, Bhavnagar registered 38, Vadodara 37 and Mehsana 31 in the last 24 hours on Tuesday. Other than these districts in the state either reported new cases less than 30 or not a single case at all.
According to the Health and Family Welfare Department of Gujarat, as many as 42,880 vaccination jabs were administered in the last 24 hours in Gujarat. With this, the total of the number of vaccinated people in the state stands at 11.19 crore.
