A new Bangtan episode that just aired reveals the making-of video for BTS’ Grammy performance. BTS gave a live performance at the Grammys this year, but it wasn’t smooth sailing. The group faced its fair share of difficulties, including Jin’s injured hand, J-Hope and Jungkook’s Covid-19 testing and recovery.
However, the group gave one of the year’s most memorable Grammy performances.
A new Bangtan Episode has now been released on BTS’ YouTube channel Bangtan TV, showcasing the members’ persistent commitment to a memorable performance. The video starts with the group members practising at their South Korean studio. Five group members were boarding the plane, with Jungkook already in the US and J-Hope still recovering in South Korea.
While they both recovered, the remainder of the group consisting of RM, Jin, Suga, Jimin and V, assembles at the Grammy’s venue for rehearsal. Upon their arrival, Namjoon (RM) greeted the background dancers and his bandmate Jimin followed.
While Namjoonie greeted the dancers in English, Mochi tried pleasantries in Korean, though no one responded to him.
The singer heavy-heartedly said, “I’ve been saying hello to everyone, but I don’t think anyone heard me. I said hello in Korean, but maybe they don’t understand,” Jimin told Suga and the camera.
“They probably didn’t realise it,” Yoongi reassured him. “I said ‘hello,’ but they all just walked by. Still, thank you.”
Many fans seemed saddened by the exchange and thought the dancers’ attitude was ‘rude’.
In addition to the interaction, the Bangtan Episdoe had details on how Taehyung preparation of the iconic card throw moment. And the members avoided laser lights during their performance, and the Bangtannies were without J-Hope on the sets.
BTS was nominated for Grammy the second time for ‘Butter’ this year but didn’t win.
